Code of Student Rights & Responsibilities
It is required that all students have an understanding of the Code of Student of Rights and Responsibilities given out by the district. Inside of this handbook, policies, rules, and guidelines are listed to help all students achieve success while attending RUSD schools. All schools have copies of the handbook available for hand-out. If you would like, Case has provided you with a link so that you can view the handbook at the RUSD website. If you would like to view this handbook, please click the button below.

ELECTRONICS POLICY
Absolutely no cell phones, IPods, MP3 players, headphones, Blackberries, or any other electronic device is allowed. While we understand students’ need for these pieces of equipment, and therefore understand they may choose to transport them to school to be used before and after school, they are absolutely not allowed to be used between the hours of 7:15 and 2:36. If a student makes the choice to utilize one of these devices, the following procedure will take place:
1st Offense: Student will be asked to put the equipment away. If the student complies with this request, this particular incident is resolved. If the student refuses to put away the equipment, it becomes a case of insubordination, and the student will be referred to an administrator for immediate consequence.
2nd Offense: The student will be asked to hand-over the equipment to any staff member who requests it. The student may then pick up this equipment at the end of the school day from the staff member who confiscated it. Again, if the student complies, the issue is resolved; if not, insubordination procedures will follow.
3rd Offense: The item will be confiscated by the staff member dealing with the incident. The student’s parent/guardian must then pick-up the equipment from the office. The item will not be given back to the student. Again, prior procedures in regard to student compliance will be in effect.
4th Offense: The item will be confiscated, and the student’s sub-school principal will decide if the item may be returned and when.
