Racine is an industrial community of approximately 85,000 people located 65 miles north of Chicago and 30 miles South of Milwaukee on the shore of Lake Michigan. The city, plus its surrounding territory of 90 square miles, has a varied population which is multicultural. J.I. Case High School is a comprehensive public high school for grades 9-12. It is accredited by the State of Wisconsin and North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Administratively, it is divided into three subschools: Green, Gold, and White.

Curriculum
Courses in the five traditional academic areas are offered to students. Most courses are identified as access, regular, college prep, or International Baccalaureate. Students have the opportunity to participate in work study, fine arts, business, family and consumer living, technical education programs, and Project Lead the Way. Exceptional Education programs are available to students with special needs.

Those courses identified on the transcript as IB (International Baccalaureate) are the most rigorous, challenging academic courses available to our students even thought they are weighted the same as our college prep classes.
